HFLE CAPTION

During our Dip Ed studies we learned that it is important to do

curriculum integration. The following lessons were used to do this.
Curriculum integration helps the students to bridge gaps when one
lesson touches on an area of another subject area.

Three lessons were taught incorporating HFLE.

Lesson 1
Form 5 Depreciation
We looked at how to convert percentages to fraction to work out the
depreciation charge. Many students at my school are weak in mathematics
as evidence by our low CSEC pass mark in the subject. By integrating this
topic with students appreciate how to work figures without a calculator.
Lesson 2
Form 4 The Internal and External Users of Information
Here the subject of English was integrated. Students were given a passage to
read and identify the different users and sat why.
Lesson 3
Form 5 Arranging Assets and Liabilities into the order of Permanence and
liquidity using Microsoft work to create table.

Here we looked at partnerships. How do partners share profits when there is

no partnership agreement.
