Goal #2

To increase positive relationships with the Kendall Yards business community, Spokane city officials, and regional
universities

Impact Objectives:
1. Informational: To increase community awareness of the Spark Center to the greater Spokane
community by 15% by July 6, 2017.
2. Behavioral: To increase involvement of Kendall Yards businesses, Spokane city officials, and members
of regional universities with the Spark Center by 15% by July 6, 2017.
3. Attitudinal: To build a positive relationship between the Spark Center and Kendall Yards business
community, Spokane city officials, and regional universities by 15% by July 6, 2017.
Output Objectives
1. Host a Spark open house and silent auction with products and services from the Kendall Yards
Business Community. This event will be exclusive to the Kendall Yards business community to evoke
solidarity and build a positive relationship between Spark and the Kendall Yards business community.
2. Reach out to city officials by hosting an event for them or requesting involvement in a workshop or
speakers series and utilize Sparks space for city officials use and their causes. By interacting directly
with city officials and building a positive relationship, this also involves an entirely new audience for
Spark to connect with.
3. Collaborate with the Center for Community Action and Service Learning (CCASL) at Gonzaga
University, Dornslife Center for Community Engagement at Whitworth University, the Service
Learning Program at Eastern Washington University, Washington State Universitys Spokane
Education Department, Spokane Community Colleges Peer Tutoring Program and Spokane Falls
Community College Educational Paraprofessional program. Utilize collaborations with these
universities and subsequent programs to promote volunteering, service learning, and interacting with
Spark.
