    project,ItrulybelievedIwasalreadyculturallyawareofdisabilityaftergrowingupwitha
    brotherwithdownsyndrome.IchosetoexploredisabilitybecauseIanticipateworkingwith
    manypeoplewithvariousdisabilitiesinmyfuturecareer.However,thisprojecthelpedme
    realizehowmuchmoreIhavetolearnaboutregardingdisabilityandhowtobestprovide
    resourcesandavoidstereotyping.Furthermore,IchosetolearnmoreaboutpovertybecauseI
    willalsobeprovidingservicestothosewhofallbelowthepovertythreshold.Thisproject
    allowedmetoexplorewaystoprovideresourcesandservicestothosewhoarenotabletoafford
    it.Itisoftenhardtoputoneselfintheshoesofsomeonewithexperiencesthatwecannotrelate
    to.Althoughthisresearchdidnotgivemetheexperiencesofthosewithdisabilityorbelowthe
    povertythreshold,ithelpedmeunderstandhowtoempathizewiththemandprovidethebest
    servicesIcanregardlessofcircumstances.
