Globalization step 1b
Throughout this assignment, I expected the most frequent origin place for
different products to be China. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the most
frequent origin was in fact the U.S.. This lends itself to my conclusion that my household
is more conscious about the origin of what we consume than most, resulting in us
consuming primarily items from our own country. This does change the fact that we do
possess many items from other parts of the world. Globalization has a seriously
profound affect on my family and almost all others. If not for the sizeable range of
foreign countries we consume from, our lives would be extremely different. For one, if
there were less international trade in products then our personal lifestyle would be
changed because of income difference. No to mention the less broad variety of cultures
our decoration would reflect. All in all, the way my family, and others in this country live,

is defined by the globalization we endorse massively to the point where our daily lives
center around it.
