To Whom It May Concern,
It was my pleasure to serve as Vanessa Thompsons inside advisor for her GSWLA senior
project this year. This letter is my reflection on Vanessas work throughout the year.
Vanessa was very professional throughout the entire process, from the letter she wrote to
ask me to be her advisor, to scheduling meetings, email communication, and follow-up.
She alerted me of deadlines and asked for help in a timely manner. She took suggestions
and edits well, and seemed open to questions. Vanessas
topicperception of beautyis a relevant and meaningful topic, and it was clear that she
is passionate about it both for the purpose of her paper and beyond.
Vanessas actions was one of the most fun GSLWA project events I have attended. She
hosted a Open Mic & Poetry Slam event on International Womens Day. The even was
VERY well attended, and the venue was hip and fun, the atmosphere very conducive to the
presentation. Vanessas planning and organization was impressive. She had around 15 presenters, and more than 50 attendees. There was a wide variety of poetry and music, and attendees wanted to stay longer than the scheduled time!
If necessary, I would be more than happy to speak further about my involvement with
Vanessas senior project. She did an excellent job!
