1.) Tom became interested in this field after speaking with a CPA his sophomore
year of high school.
2.) A typical work day depends on the season, but they usually deal with tax
forms and returns, research, and audits.
3.) Toms job duties are to prepare tax returns, review taxes and audits, and
manage the firm.
4.) The best education in this field in on job training and experience with
different computer systems. Tom had no specific institution to recommend.

interpersonal skills.
6.) Personal attributes in this field include: working alone, attention to detail, and
always double checking to make sure everything is right.
7.) To better prepare Tom for his job, he had the opportunity for internships and
speaking with other CPAs.
8.) Toms favorite aspect of the job is that he is never bored and is always
working on a variety of different things every day.
9.) The changing tax laws and very long hours during tax season can be very
difficult at times but if you take it one day at a time then the work doesnt
seem as much.

The future job outlook is very good compared to twenty years ago.
With good grades and ambition, finding a job in accounting shouldnt be hard.

public staff, supervisors, and part-owners. This depends on how far you want
to go.
