Jamey Flaccavento is completing her student teaching experience in my full-day, inclusive Kindergarten classroom. She has been working with me since September 1, 2015, as she is participating in the pilot program for full-year student teaching. She has been a hard-working and dedicated professional during her time in my classroom. Jamey has been prompt and prepared with her lessons. She was ready to assume the teaching responsibilities early on in her experience. Jamey is well-prepared for her lessons, from interesting anticipatory sets to captivating activities and solid pre and post assessments of their learning. Her classroom management skills are that of an experienced teacher, and the students have responded well to these skills. Jamey has created differentiated centers and lessons that are aligned to Common Core standards and she has incorporated technology such as iPads and Smart Responders into those lessons. Jamey has a natural ability to relate to the students and is adept at developing a positive self image in every student. She has been able to differentiate instruction to all levels and learning styles in my classroom. The class has a wide variety of special needs, and Jamey has been able to reach all of them. She has managed classroom discipline issues in a kind way, encouraging development of selfdiscipline in the students. Jamey has proven she is a team player. She has not only completed work for my class, she was willing complete tasks that any of the Kindergarten teachers needed to be done. She has worked flawlessly with a great number of support professionals and in-class support teachers who come into the classroom throughout the day. Jamey is ready to assume the responsibilities and demands of a full-time teacher. She will make a fine teacher, and will be an asset to any school district. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Sincerely,
