Performance notes:

Section:
Intro: Slightly haunting, but not too slow, then sort of
fall onto the main rhythm at A
A:
This whole Ba-baa rhythm is swung because of the
6/8, but not too swung. It just needs to sit as
Monk might say
Cascade chord before B needs to be stronger than
first one, and with a slight pull back into the A
rhythm
B:
The tune is ad-lib throughout, feel free to pull it
around, just use the notes as a guide
Every pushed quaver needs to feel quiteheavy in
a way as in it feels like it lands on the push like
in bar 16, last quaver
Same for each of the pushed quavers in 18 and 20
etc
C:

D:

Big-band fallneeds to bebig bandish

Alto 1 quasi-solo at 31 needs to come out, maybe
at the expense of solo tune, not sure yet, need to
hear it
Sizeable volume difference between C & D

Sizeable volume difference between C and D D

needs be louder, and heavier, slightly more planted
with each of the chords
Massive drop in volume and massive crescendo
into what should be letter E (but is at the minute
still D) (the fmin6/9 chord)
This no-o-o-w can be a huge hit each time each
little rise mark before the quaver needs to the
note, fall away slightly then come back, then a
long big band fall after all very big band style
E:

Bar before E is dictated by you, then back into

tempo/rhythm at E, where you sing the melody
once, then its an open vamp for you to scat/solo
over
Keep going till you cue it out

F:
Again, dictated/cued by you. Take your time with it
Alto solo should stand out right at the end
