Description/Abstract: During this mini-lesson, students are expected to learn how to listen and
be able to understand the teacher and complete the assignments accordingly
Timeline of Lesson: One 45 minute period- 1 Class period. Additional time will be given if
necessary.

Process Strand: Worksheets
Students will work separately or in pairs to finish the assignment given if helps is need they may
ask each other or the teacher
Content Strand: Language Arts
Students will be able to recognize, use and show what the parts of speech are to fill in the blanks
on the worksheet that is given
Estimated Time Needed: Bell Ringer (3 Minutes)
Student Goals: After completing the mini-lesson, students should be able to work on the
assignment that is given
Materials Needed: Pencil, Paper, Worksheet
Student Objectives: Upon completing the assignment given correctly, students will be able to:
A) Explore and learn a new way to use words in complete sentence form
B) Complete the worksheet by determining what vocabulary goes in the blank spaces
C) Determining which word makes the sentence correct by using the right type of part of
speech, verb, pronoun, etc.
Introduction:
Begin instruction with a MadLib worksheet that is connecting with the lesson of the
day. Giving this worksheet will help the students understand the topic in an easier way.
Instructional Activity:

3.Group Discussion (10 mins)
Modifications:
If student is struggling with the worksheet the teacher can be able to give the student a
different worksheet to work on without having any trouble.
Evaluation:
Give students an example Mad-Libs quiz to make sure that the students understand what is
expected of them and how they must perform to complete the assignment
