Annotated Bibliography #2: Bear Grylls

Arguably one of the most well known environmental figures, Edward Michael Bear
Grylls is a survivor expert with an incredulous resume including reaching the rank of Lieutenant
Colonel in the British Royal Marines Reserves. Similarly to that of Les Stroud, Bear has a
television show of his own named Man vs. Wild in which he finds the most extreme conditions
he can find to traverse and explore. However, opposite from Les Strouds Survivorman, Bear has
a film crew to travel with him during these expeditions. A true testament to his prowess, Bear has
quite the ability to override natural human instinct when faced with a dangerous situation which
is to blindly panic.
Its thanks to individuals like this that have committed their career and lives to passing on
this vital information to basic survival knowledge not only in the practical state, but the mentality
of it all as well. Bear has also written and published 15 books whether it be a fictional teenager
story or a detailed account of his experiences advising his readers of what to expect and what to
do in these situations.
