Recommendation Letter for Amie Gonzalez

It is with great pleasure and honor that I write this recommendation letter for
Amie Gonzalez. Amie is a senior, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Loyola
Marymount University (LMU).
I have known Amie since she was a first year work study student worker in
the office formerly known as Career Development Services (CDS). Amie
impressed me right away with her initiative to learn the office procedures and
desire to always put her best foot forward. CDS then, was composed of three
areas, Career Services, Internship, and Student Employment Services. Amie
was eager to learn the complexities of each area and immediately became
the first student worker to be cross-trained in all three areas.
Amies leadership qualities were apparent when she offered to train 20+
student workers. She immediately collaborated with professional staff to
develop a training program and presentations. Amie facilitated the workshops
and created a team of motivated and well-trained CDS student staff.
Amie continued to elevate and challenge herself and was instrumental in the
departments creation of the Student Ambassador Program, which promotes
CDS services and events to students. She led a team of 5 student
ambassadors and increased student traffic to the office and department
recognition throughout campus.
Amie has been very vocal about her passion on law and immigration. She
knew early on what she wanted to pursue and developed her plan and
strategy on how to achieve her goals. She worked tirelessly to improve her
skills and build a strong foundation by attending various workshops,
networking events and information sessions. She explored internship
opportunities, travelled internationally, and immersed herself in extracurricular activities to expand her knowledge. Amie truly embodies the LMU
mission of education of the whole person, and practice of faith and promotion
of justice.
I am confident that Amie will continue to dedicate herself in the pursuit of
excellence and achieve her goals. She will be a great addition to the CAPAL
Scholarship and Internship program.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions or reference on Amie
Gonzalez.
Thank you.
