This article analyzes on how the the endangered species trust, organizes the
rehabilitation and release of threatened and endangered asian primates. the
vietnamese government battle the illegal trade of endangered primates by having a
sanctuary for all confiscated animals at the new Dao Tien Endangered Primate
Species Centre in Cat Tien National Park Vietnam. also they facilitate the return to
the wild of suitable candidates, boosting wild populations and working towards
finding new populations in areas where they have become extinct, such as in
regenerating lowland forests. This is a significant example of the positive impact
that these sanctuaries have on protecting threatened species of animals and
keeping them from going extinct.

The article Striped Hyena (Hyaena hyaena) Status And Factors Affecting Its
Distribution in The Gir National Park And Sanctuary, India. covers the density of the
striped hyena population and the monitoring that is done on them in the Gir
National Park and Sanctuary, India. The article states that the sanctuary gives the
hyenas a safe environment with a safe denning refugia and dietary requirements. It
also states that although very little research has been done on the striped hyena
species at this time the sanctuary is providing the hyenas with a steady and safe
return of population. This is yet another example of the positivity that sanctuaries
do for endangered animal species. I chose to use this article due to how it positively
portrays the usefulness of these wildlife sanctuaries world wide.

The article Comparative Hematological Variables Of Bengal Tigers (Panthera tigris
tigris) Kept In Lahore Zoo And Lahore Wildlife Park, Pakistan. is about the handful of
bengal tigers that are being kept in various sanctuaries and monitored. The studies
on the tigers have shown that when kept in a safe captivity they slowly but surely
regain population. Tigers are some of the most scarce big cats that remain, the
preservation of this species is a very important to the people that work at the
sanctuaries and care for the animals. They monitor the Tigers daily to find the
difference between tigers in the wild and their habits and the Tigers they raise and
care for In captivity and their habits. I chose this article because it shows the steps
that sanctuaries go through to keep their animals safe and healthy.
