School Demographics:

Taylor Stratton Elementary School

725 students
93% on Free/Reduced Lunch
I felt very welcomed from the second I walked in. The office
staff was very helpful but I could tell they had a lot on their
minds.
When I got there the first day, Mrs. Taylor walked in the
office as someone was getting ready to show me where her
classroom was.
I observed Mrs. Taylors 1st grade class

Teacher Interview

24 years
15 years
She has taught 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and now 1st
She loves the eagerness that the children have to learn. She
also liked the amount of growth that the children make from
the beginning of school to the end.
She finds that the childrens behavior can be a challenge at
times. Also, getting the kids to bring back their homework is
a challenge as well.
It is very important to be able to read the data about the
children.
It can be very hard to get the parents involved
