Athletics Search Committee
Department of Athletics and Education 455 Scotland Road. Edinboro, Pa. 16444-0001 Dear Baumgartner: Please consider me a candidate for the position of Head Coach that you have advertised for employment. I feel I am well qualified for the position due to my knowledge I received as a student, along with the work experience I have accumulated of the years. As a student of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, I always strive to push myself, and along the way achieve excellence. As student athlete I joined the accelerated program to earn my bachelors degree in business management along with an associates degree in finance in three years. I will then go on to obtain my masters in business administration, specifically marketing with dual minors in coaching and communications. All of which will be done while I am continuing my football career and striving to be the best player on the field. I currently have a 3.23 cumulate G.P.A. However, I want to finish with a 3.5 once I have completed my masters. As a student of the game, you can always learn more. Coming up on my fourteen year playing football I strive myself on knowing the game, inside out, from what every player on the field is doing to how the coaches are calling the game. As a coach I have worked multiple football clinics with age groups ranging from 5-15 years of age. Off the field, I have experiences in retail stores first starting as model/sales associate for Hollister Co., then working my way to Dicks Sporting Goods specifically in the team sports department. I have also worked in security for West Chester University sporting event, as well as Saloon 151 Bar & Grill. Finally, I was a valet for the Country Club of York Pennsylvania. All of my previous and present jobs have uniquely prepared me to be flexible and quick on my feet in the work force. In short, my academic achievements, and my work experience combined with my knowledge of the game makes me the prefect candidate for the head football coach position you are looking to fill. I believe my commitment, energy, and creativity, makes me never stop striving to be the best, and is just what this historic programs needs to get back on top. I hope you believe so too, thank you for your consideration of my application. Sincerely:
