Dear Parents,
Saturday, May 7, the student musicians will be traveling to Sumner
Fredericksburg High School, Sumner, Iowa, to perform in the IHSMA Large
Group Festival. Students should begin loading the bus at 8:30 am for an 8:45
departure. The Mens Chorus will perform at 10:55 am, the Womens Chorus
at 11:25 am and the Mixed Chorus at 2:15 pm. The Concert Band will perform
at 1:00 pm. Once again, the students will be wearing their band uniforms so
please remember your black shoes and socks. After we are done performing
and we have received our ballots we will return home. Students are expected
to return to Monona at approximately 4:00 pm. Students are encouraged to
bring money for concessions. We will not be stopping on the way home. As
always, students are expected to behave in an appropriate manner and
represent our school well both at the event and while in transit.
All students are required to ride the bus to and from the IHSMA Large Group
Festival unless they make prior arrangements with Mr. Ross and music
instructors are given documentation of these arrangements in advance.
Students may also leave with their parent. Parents will be required to sign
their student out with Ms. Harbaugh.
Sunday, May 22, students will be performing at the graduation ceremony held
in the High School Gymnasium at 2 pm. Students will be expected to dress up
for graduation (no jeans or tennis shoes, please). Freshmen through juniors
should report to the music rooms by 1:30.

transportation and behavior during large group contests. If I have any
