Validity of Quota system in Bcs
In the recruitment process of Bangladesh Civil Service, Quota system is one
of the most controversial and burning issue. The BCS candidates have lots of
complain against this quota system. Nowadays it is supposed to be used in
inappropriate ways, that's why it has revealed as a matter debate throughout
the country. on the other hand, this large portion of quota have been
dominating over the meritocracy. the existing scenario of seats distribution of
BCS, 55% seats are reserved in different categories and whereas remaining
45% seats allocated through the meritocracy. Which will impede the
country's progress and potential human resources will remain unused. So it is
high time rethinking and redistribution of quota. In this research I will try to
find out the negative impacts of quota system. To diagnose this issue I will
use survey method system. The respondents will be from the both
examinees of quota and general students, academicians, current Bcs cadres
who are recruited from both quota and non-quota.
