She has work experience as a sacristan at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church and selling tickets and concessions at Western Schools athletic events. She has volunteered at Immanuel Lutheran Church food pantry and taught religious education at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish. Mason overcame a learning disability diagnosed in middle school and is now a successful student looking toward college. Her extracurricular activities include four years of softball where she received a team spirit award and she placed third in a baseball skills competition in 2011.
