Guide Me
Music is one of the best ways for people to express themselves and spread a message. I
listen to a lot of different music and Constellations by Enter Shikari is one of my favorites. I
believe the message sent in the song is one that could appeal to a plethora of listeners. I really
admire the artists and enjoy their music because it is excitable and heartfelt. The most amazing
thing about them to is that they have a message to send in every one of their songs, whether it is
political, social or personal.
Throughout of the song the speaker talks about taking the right steps to keep the world as
sustainable as possible. Throughout the song to emphasize that the speaker uses similes to
explain the way people should see things. With forgiveness as our torch, is used to emphasize
that the world must learn to forgive and use it to guide the future of humanity. Followed with
And imagination as our sword, stating that humanity must use creativity to fight off hatred and
to help protect the future. The speaker uses the appeal to emotion, or pathos, by stating that And
well start a world so equal and free, appealing to humanitys wish of equality and freedom.
The song is essentially a story told through the perspective or the speaker and his
realization that the way people live is dangerous to the world and humans. Ultimately the
message of the song is that the speaker believes that humanity is taking the wrong path to the
future of the human race. He believes that unless significant changes are made to the way
humans live there will be consequences. He tells this story to try and warn people and to

ultimately prevent the dangerous future humanity may face. The speaker is using his personal
emotions to present issues in a passionate and heartfelt way.
