What is sleep deprivation?

What our program consists of:

Sleep deprivation is a condition that occurs if

you dont get enough sleep. One can be
considered sleep deprived if they dont get
enough sleep, dont get restful sleep or
unable to experience the different kinds of
sleep that the human body needs. For
example REM (rapid eye movement) and
non-REM. These two kinds of sleep patterns
occur in 3-5 cycles each night.

Three sessions:

Why should this matter to you?

Getting enough restful sleep is important to
all humans. Sleep deficiency is linked to
many chronic health issues such as: heart
disease, diabetes, depression, stroke,
obesity, and kidney disease. Sleep deficiency
can also cause occupational accidents and
serious human errors such as car accidents
and aviation accidents.

Session one- Improving Sleep Hygiene

This session will consist of one informational
video on sleep hygiene and an interactive game
on sleep hygiene.
Session two- Sleep Disorders 101

sheet and discussion from program directors.

Should Not Do When Youre Tired
