    snakeinhistory.
    Havingexisted58millionyearsagoduringthePaleoceneepoch,thecreaturewouldnothavewrestled
    withthelikesoftheTRex.Instead,massivecrocodileslikelywouldhavebeenitsdinner.TheTitanoboa
    anditsstorywerefeaturedontheSmithsonianChannelontheTVshowTitanoboa:MonsterSnake,
    whichairedinApril2012.
    MuseumdirectorDr.ReeseBarrickiseagerforthearrivaloftheexhibition,notingSternberghasbeen
    onthewaitinglistfortwoyears.

    Wehavefeaturedlivingsnakeexhibitshereatthemuseumforawhile,suchasRattlers,which
    featuresdozensofrattlesnakespeciesfromacrosstheAmericas.Titanoboafollowsthefascination
    peoplehavewithsnakes,Barricksaid.
    ThenewexhibitmightremindvisitorsoftheSuperCrocexhibitin2010,whichfeaturedthelargest
    crocodileinEarthshistory.TitanoboaisevenbiggerthanSuperCroc.
    ThemuseumscurrentexhibitBringingFossilstoLifefeaturesourfossilswithliveanimalsthatare
    associatedinsomewaywiththefossils,Barricksaid.
