CARTOONS

In Term 1 Room 8 did cartoons. We looked at a variety of

newspaper cartoons, and through our reading programme
explored Inferencing. This is where you use the pictures and
the limited words together to build your own understanding.
Next we studied the Gruffalo and The Great Big Block of
Chocolate. These books created our theme.
Then:
We had to make little plastercine characters to fit into a little
box made out of cardboard. (Our stage). We got into groups
of 4 people. Then when we had finished making the
characters and the setting, we took photo’s. Following this
we used storyboard 3 to present our work. First we had to
import the pictures we had taken for our group then add the
text, for example yummy chocolate can’t wait to eat it! Next
we added transitions and finally we had to put music on to
our storyboard. Here they are for you to enjoy. We would
