The feudal system is the


system of political organization
prevailing in Europe from the
9th to about the 15th centuries
having as its basis the relation
of lord to vassal with all land
held in fee and as chief

KINGS-
The king owned all of the land in his

powerful, and had control on his land.

BARONS-
Known as the lord of the manor and

made their own money and had
taxes. They had to serve on the royal
council, pay rent, and give the king a
military. Also had to provide the king
and his court with lodging and food
when they traveled. Very wealthy
and were given land by the kings.

KNIGHTS-
Knights were given land by Barons. This is the
