Portfolio Artifact Description: Dream Home
What you learned: I started off my project thinking that it was self-explanatory. I made a
customized home complete with furniture. After double checking the requirements, I noted that
in the instructions it specifically stated not to include furniture. Thankfully, it was an easy fix. I
learned to read instructions carefully before starting a project, even if it seems like a simple
assignment. It will help me save time and know what to prioritizefor example, for this project,
the major requirements were windows, walls, doorways, and rooms.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: This project was a good balance of fun and
work. It could easily be turned into a project where students try to copy a home layout using
physical blocks. It will help determine if students can recognize familiar shapes.
