Most editorial additions have been given in grace notes, however it

is worth comparing with the manuscript which is available for free
online. This edition is intended more to display what a particular
performance might include, and is only one of many possible
realizations derived from the manuscript. As such it is intended to
assist others in interpreting the piece for themselves (in the spirit of
the music itself.)

Julian Bertino was born in a small town in Ontario, Canada. He has

studied guitar with Philip Candelaria, Denis Donegani, Dr. Matthew
Gould (of Duo46), Louis Trepanier, and composition with Dr. John
Gordon Armstrong. He has performed in several masterclasses,
competitions and festivals, including performances for Johannes
Mller, Patrick Roux, Matteo Mela and others.
His music is diversely inspired, having performed as a 10 string
guitarist as a solist and chamber musician, and also in Rock, Metal,
Jazz, Choral ensembles, and as an electronic music producer and
DJ. He is currently dedicated to the realization of Zen teachings in
music.
