Planning Memo
Audience the audience for this project will be Dr. Wickliff (the instructor),
whichever peer that revises my edits, any member of UNCCs student body
that will lay eyes on this document, the team of community engagement
experts and researchers that help compiled the data, the Board of Trustees,
Chancellor DuBois and Provost Lorden.
Primary Purpose the purpose of this project is to edit the document
provided by UNC-Charlotte in the hopes of correcting any formatting,
grammatical and content issues that could affect the professionalism of this
pamphlet.
Particular Topic/Tasks the primary and secondary tasks to be included in
the project work, such as:

Read through the document on UNC-Charlottes Community


Engagement.
Send inquiries to authors about any major recurring issues throughout
the document.
Mark the draft with changes and comments that will hopefully assist
the author(s) in correcting any mistakes.
Share edited version with peer so we can compare different changes
made to the document.
Summarize all edits to the document and submit them to the authors
in a letter of transmittal.

Research and Reporting Schedule

April 4th Turn in planning memo, style sheet and Project C marked
draft #1
April 11th Turn in Project C marked draft #2 with peer edits

Tone or Voice - Tone or Voice I hope to be non-judgmental, and positive while


offering the most helpful critique to the authors involved. Also, I hope to be as
professional as possible as this is a document crafted by professional individuals at
an academic university. These edits will be in the hopes the authors will be able to
successfully integrate them into the document to make it the most professional and
informative document that it can possible be.
