man makes.

US Gender Equity in Education


Educational gender gap has diminished over the

years.
Persisting problems : enrollment in advanced high
school courses, participation in STEM (college),
participation in high school sports and gap in
collegiate sports, and teacher biases
Boys also have problems: enrollment in college and
performance

Title IX
US Educational Amendment of 1972, Title IX
Prohibits sex discrimination on educational

premises receiving federal funding.


Has fought : Against sex-segregated schools
Sexual violence in school
Protecting parenting and pregnant students
Equal athletics

Gender Equality in Education

Classroom Solutions
Enforce respect for the opposite sex.
Create equal opportunities.
Accommodate any issues a student may have.
