Unfortunately, the first and only time Myrtle met Gatsbys car

was when she got violently hit by it outside of Wilsons home.

Given this, Myrtle is asking in her heart message for the car to
hit her one more time while making a pun off of Britney
Spears modern-day popular song One More Time. Also, the
red heart symbolizes the bloodshed that resulted from the
violent death.
The mouth was wide open and ripped at the corners (137).
Myrtle Wilson, her life violently extinguished, knelt in the road and mingled
her thick dark blood with the dust (137).

This heart was inspired by the budding romance between

Jordan and Nick. Their relationship stuck out to us, even
though the book only touched on it from time to time. The
reference to putting was inspired by Jordans profession as a
famous golf player. We wanted to come up with a witty pick-up
line that referenced this hobby. The hearts green color is also
meant to reflect her golfing career.
I was flattered to go places with her, because she was a golf champion, and
everyone knew her name (57).
She was a slender, small-breasted girl, with an erect carriage, which she
accentuated by throwing her body backward at the shoulders like a young
cadet (11).

This heart was inspired by the relationship between Daisys

mysterious daughter Pammy and her nanny. We wanted to think
outside of the box when choosing our characters, and we felt
that this was a unique option. The caption is based on the fact
that Daisy and her daughter are so distant that theyre
practically estranged. Pammys single scene demonstrates that
her only true guardian is her nanny. We made this heart blue
to reflect Pammys sadness due to being abandoned.
Then she remembered the heat and sat down guiltily on the couch just as a
freshly laundered nurse leading a little girl came into the room (117).
With a reluncant backward glance the well disciplined child held to her
nurses hand and was pulled out the door (117).
