Evaluation
Evaluation Partners
The primary users and stakeholders of my project are the youth
players. Secondary stakeholders would be the coaches, followed by the
parents. They will be involved in order to add credibility as well as to
address any ethical concerns. An ethical consideration would be
constructing a fair and equal way of evaluation. Some barriers to
consider would be slow coming results, cultural tension, inadequate
resources, underfunding, and poor communication. These are all
important aspects that cant be overlooked.
Logic Model
Inputs- Time, money, volunteers, technology, coalition partners,
research-based courses, meeting space, equipment, travel
Outputs
Activities- Training, education, demonstration, workshops,
travel to youth tournaments, team meetings
Participation- Teams, players, coaches, parents
Outcomes/Impact
Short- Number of educational courses, number of trained
coaches, number of policies developed, number of players
reached

Intermediate- Refs are consistent in making calls, play

competitively during games but not violently, social media
presence, and networking
Long- number of concussions is reduced, knowledge and
awareness is raised, trickle up effect from youth and beyond,
culture change
Assumptions- that people want change and want to expand their
knowledge base
External Factors- cant control people individual behavior or an
individuals susceptibility to a concussion
Evaluation Table
1. Did I reach my goal of lowering the number of sustained
concussions by youth players during the lacrosse season
2. Did each team go through the training courses and
participate in growing their knowledge base
3. Were players tested and give a pre-participation concussion
screening
4. Did the number of sustained concussions decrease
