Learn from Mistakes
As I read over Professor Battys comments on my Animal Studies essay. I realize that I
have violated several rules of MLA format. Moreover, I have to work on article in the sentences,
and acknowledge its rules whether need an article or not. In addition, my essay needs more
evidences to support my thesis and courter argument. Hence, I start to work on my formatting,
correct articles in each paragraph, and provide more information to aid my topics.
In the beginning, the essay must follow MLA format. In the final draft, I place my last
name before first name, and the day is month, then day, and then year. Moreover, about the
words, work cited, I should put it in the middle instead of right side. In the revise draft, I
change by putting my first name first and following it is last name, and the date as well. On other
hand, I put more thought on my courter argument in the revise draft by having a separate
paragraph from the body. Beside that, I also edit my writing in this essay by deleting some
unnecessary words, and ideas that my not support my main point.
To conclude, I acknowledge that my sentence structure is difficult for peer readers to
understand. Therefore, I reread, and delete some sentence, and then rephrase several sentences.
By taking Professor Battys words, I focus on discussion about the main points in my writing.
