Reflective Letter to Instructor
Dear Mrs. Marcum,
To be honest I felt like my cover letter didnt portray my writing process in depth. The
first thing I did when I was handed the literacy project was to sit down and brainstorm which
snapshots I could relate to my experiences when it came to literacy. From there I made an outline
of the experiences I wanted to include. Then I went into the outline and added details to each
snapshot to make it more interesting. My process wasnt the best but it was decent. I did try
something new and it was the use of some tactics we learned about in class like voice and vitality
also storytelling. It worked out great when it came to my peers commenting on my paper they
saw a huge improvement in my project. My feelings towards my new writing process changed I
felt a little more confident when it came to my collage. I feel like the strongest part of this paper
is my use of descriptive details. I feel like I did well on creating the picture for my reader to
follow along with my snapshots. My strongest revisions from last draft to this draft were my use
of more writing tactics and fixing grammar errors by added more commas also checking my
spelling. Out of my five revision goals I was able to achieve my goal of add more details to
certain snapshots. I think I still need more work when it comes to adding figurative language in
my writing. With two more days on this draft I would focus on adding a better conclusion to my
overall project. The challenges I encountered with this project was the lack of details, and
problem with my syntax in my writing. The difficult part of this essay was selecting which
snapshots to include and putting them in and order that worked the best because I had no idea
which order sounded better. The part of this project I liked the best was getting to talk about

something I had experienced and sharing it with my peers who gave me some good feedback.
The questions I have for the reader is Did you enjoy each of my snapshots? What snapshots feel
like I am missing something? Was the organization of my paper good? What could I have done
better?
