Ch.

1 TRAFFIC, PARKING & MOTOR VEHICLES


Parking:
Year-round Parking Restrictions. No vehicle or trailer shall be parked on City of
Orange Falls streets or alleys for over seventy-two (72) consecutive hours.
Private Parking. This restriction shall not apply to private parking lots, back yard
parking, or private driveways.

Streets:
Dumping in streets. It is a misdemeanor for any person to throw or deposit in any street
any nails, dirt, glass or glassware, cans, discarded cloth or clothing, metal scraps, garbage,
leaves, grass or tree limbs, paper or paper products, shreds or rubbish, oil, grease or other
petroleum products, or to empty any water containing salt or other injurious chemical thereon. It
is a violation of this section to haul any such material, inadequately enclosed or covered, thereby
permitting the same to fall upon streets. It is also a violation of this section to place or store any
building materials or waste resulting from building construction or demolition on any street
without first having obtained a written permit from the Council.

Ch. 2 CURFEW
Curfew hours. 10:00 p.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
until 6:00 a.m. of the following day; and 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on any Friday or Saturday.

Ch. 3 PUBLIC PROTECTION


Nuisances:
Public nuisances affecting health. The following are declared to be nuisances affecting health:
1. Exposed accumulation of decayed or unwholesome food or vegetable matter
2. All diseased animals running at large;
3. Carcasses of animals not buried or destroyed within 24 hours after death;

4. Accumulations of manure, refuse, or other debris;


5. Privy vaults and garbage cans which are not rodent free or fly-tight or which are so
maintained as to constitute a health hazard or to emit foul and disagreeable odors;
6. The pollution of any public or private well or cistern, stream or lake, canal or body of water
by sewage, industrial waste or other substances;
7. All noxious weeds and other rank growths of vegetation upon public or private property;
8. Dense smoke, noxious fumes, gas and soot, or cinders, in unreasonable quantities;
9. Open or uncontrolled burning in violation of state statutes and regulations.
10. All public exposure of persons having a contagious disease;
11. Any offensive trade or business as defined by statute not licensed by the council.

Ch. 4 THE POSSESSION, SALE AND CONSUMPTION


OF INTOXICATING AND 3.2 PERCENT LIQUOR
Working Minors & Alcohol:
Minors on Premises. No person under the age of 18 years shall be employed in any
rooms constituting the place in which intoxicating liquors or 3.2 percent malt liquor are sold at
retail on sale, except that persons under the age of 18 may be employed as musicians or to
perform the duties of a bus person or dishwashing services in places defined as a restaurant,
hotel, motel or other multipurpose building serving food in rooms in which intoxicating liquors
or 3.2 percent malt liquor are sold at retail on sale. No person under the age of 21 years may
enter a licensed establishment except to work, consume meals on premises that qualify as a
restaurant, or attend social functions that are held in a portion of the premises where liquor is not
sold.
