THESIS
The new XC-series supercomputer has many new features that
speed up progress and help astronomers improve customization
and configurability with their projects.

CRAY XC40 SUPERCOMPUTER

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
A new technical capability found in the XC40 series supercomputer
is called Datawarp.
The Cray company states that Datawarp addresses modern I/O
needs by delivering a balanced and cohesive system architecture
from compute to storage.

64-bit Intel Xeon processor E5 family; up to 384 per
cabinet

64-256 GB per node
Ports-48 switch ports per Aries chip (500 GB/s switching
