Log
(First 2 slides)
Organisation
To be able to run a music video
smoothly, it is imperative to know
what the actors will be doing and
when they will be doing it.
In the video, there are 4 characters
Main protagonist the girl
A woman in the street who tries to
help her get money for food etc.
Man who she sells her body to
The woman who finds her body in
the hotel room
The characters needed for each
scene will be there when needed.
Otherwise, they will be elsewhere
waiting for their scene to happen.
Timeframe Considerations
In order to set my music video up in the
way in which I think it would work best
is if the time schedule is precise and
accurate.
1st location to be able to set this
scene in that way I want, it is
imperative that I ensure it is in the
morning between 7 and 8am. This is
so the scene is set in the morning to
show the girl waking up to a new day
in the life of having no money, food
and somewhere to live. It is beneficial
she wakes up on a bench in the
morning showing her conditions.
2nd location while the girl is
searching the streets for money, food
and shelter, a time of 11am 12pm
may be appropriate for this particular
scene. This Is because most people
who are vulnerable are awake at
these hours in addition to help her.
Brief
A leading moving image company musicvid.org.uk has approached your digital
media production company and has invited you to pitch an idea for a Music Video to a
song of your choice. Using the brief below that the client has provided as the starting
point, you must formulate ideas using verbal, written and visual communication
techniques.
Dear Students at Goffs School,
I am writing to you to share with you a fantastic opportunity available to all media
students within your school. Here at www.musvid.org.uk we believe in giving the
younger generation the chance to share their creativity and ideas with the wider world.
We would like you to plan and pitch ideas for a music video for a song of your choice.
The video must cover a theme that is important to you and your generation. The
winning videos will be shown at a screening in the Summer of 2016 to parents and
teachers at your school.
Good Luck.

The main actor Charlotte she will need a variety of outfits.
The music video will start by the main actor laying on a bench with only a blanket and a loose baggy top and jogging bottoms and then
progress into a prostitute look which involves revealing clothes.
The clothes are cheap to highlight the subject matter of a prostitute and that they dont pay a lot of money for their appearance.

Contingency Plans
If my music video does not go to plan, I have to consider
alternative ideas in order for the plans to proceed. This may
include if it rains, if a camera stops working or an actor cannot
make it, we will have to think of an alternative.
If it rains
We will have to find somewhere we can shoot the video which is inside
and under shelter to avoid any equipment getting damaged
Minutes Of Meetings
In the meetings of the music video, we discussed all the ideas we can include
and involve. We considered alternative actors we can include in the video to
test out who is more suitable to play each role and who feels more comfortable
playing who. Locations were another thing we had to consider, we had a range
of different places to chose from where we could shoot the video. We decided to
choose Finsbury Park as it is known as quite a rough area in London compared
to other places. This is suitable for this specific music video as it is about a girl
walking the streets in order to get money for prostitution and being in a rough
area helps bring attention to the protagonist and her way of living. Another
thing we had to decide is on the crew and who is more experienced to do the
job properly. The video would need the most experienced people to work on the
job in order for it to reach its full potential and stand out from all other music
videos. Finally, thinking of outfits for the actors were hard to decide as we had
to think of the most appropriate costumes for each individual. For the main
actor Charlotte, we decided not to spend a lot of money on her outfit as she
was seen as a prostitute with hardly any money and her clothes represented
her background. The outfit portrayed her lifestyle to the audience which was
our intentions to reflect the way in which she has to live.
Risk Assessments
(Health & Safety)
In order for the music video to be safe for the crew members at all times, a risk assessment has to
be put in place.
