Question one

Hamid is not considered a discouraged worker because he is already working


in a school while discouraged worker are those who gave up in looking for a
job if he left his job to look for a better one like what Hamid is dreaming to
find a job in the government he will be considered a frictional unemployment

Question Two
in ahmed case he is considered as unemployment as he left his job
involuntary as the job transferred him from an office job to a construction job
without paying him compensation and he will be a structural unemployment
as the office job skills is different from the construction job skills so the
mismatch of skill will consider him a structural unemployment

Question Three
The unemployment increase to be considered above the world average rate
and to explain it according to the supply and demand we would say that
On the supply side : the increase in youth population very fast to the extent
that Egypt reach the largest portion of youth in its history this youth have
the skills needed to work
On the demand side: slow increase in job creation that could meet the
increase in youth population in addition to low productivity

Question four
Informal jobs offer low income and no benefits in the form of pension schemes,
medical insurance, or potential for growth. Most of these low-productivity jobs are
within the informal economy, where wage earners have no work contract and where
employers and self-employed workers have no work permits and are mostly not
registered. in order to decrease the unemployment in Egypt the policy that

should be taken is:


National strategy for employment plan which include action plan and
educate the youth and improve their skills
Legislating youth wages and status
