Once in a Lifetime
Even with windows, a house is dark without love.
Oh! To be alone If this be false, somebody find me.
If only my relatives could join me from up above
If only true love could return thy love to me.
Love can be both friend and foe; tell me, I only wish to know
Which is it, the answer you behold? Such an answer kept like treasured gold.
I will wait and wait more until thou hath love to show.
I feareth my love, that thou love hath grown cold.
My window is open, waiting to hear your voice. Thou speaketh not.
Only the sound that reacheth my ear is that of the leaves rustling in the air.
The feelings that thou shared with me are so far from everything I thought thou thought.
This reality doth make me feel, the sky is not blue, tis grey.
The leaves are not green, tis brown.
If thou doth heareth my heart as I have laid out above,
Then thou once in a lifetime hath known true love.
