Ingrahm, Christopher. Americans are Drinking Themselves to Death at Record Rates.

Washington Post. The Washington Post. Web. 22 Mar. 2016.
Alcohol has more deaths linked to it than cocaine, heroin or any other drug. There is a finer line
between moderation and abuse than people believe. A Duke University professor who studies the
consumption of alcohol suggests that a rise in related deaths is due to more people drinking
more. If you abuse alcohol you put yourself at risk for diseases like cirrhosis and cancer and the
number of Americans who drink at home has risen. Ingrahms article supports my position that
alcohol should become illegal due to its death rates and health related issues.

Sifferlin, Alexandra. What Drinking Does to Your Body Over Time. Time. Time. Web. 22Mar.
2016.
The effects of drinking differs from person to person and which most people fail to
acknowledge. Bing drinking is common in college students but a lot of those students carry their
drinking habit with them after school. This type of drinking creates a higher risk for sexual
assault, STDs and unplanned pregnancy as well as cause your organs and immune system to
become week . Alcohol is an addictive drug so even drinking in moderation can lead to abuse
and can still cause health problems. Sifferlins article supports my stand that drinking is
hazardous to our bodies therefore should be banned again.
