1.) Hello review board my name is Kasin Alex The research topic I will be presenting today
focuses on the justice system and its strength in punishment involving repeat gang offenders. My

4.) Why I Chose This Research Topic

Honestly my first choice was on the banned list

Because every day you turned on the tv and on news all you hear is about gangs
you just do not notice it

I am going to have to face this problem everyday as a Police officer.

5.) The reasons you should care about my topic is because this is a bigger problem then you
know. Gangs are one of the leading factors for growth of violent crimes both on and off school
property. 86% of US cities with a population of 100,000 or more report gangs activity.
6.) Why I Chose This Type of Service Learning
By interning at the police department, I learned the vast training that they go through. By
making brochures, I learned how big of a problem gangs really are and I was able to inform the
community about this problem.
7.) For additional information I created a website to informed the community gangs
7.) Conclusion

When I started this paper I being with the idea that the justice system and its

strength in punishment involving repeat gang offenders were weak. Even though laws
ares getting better to combat gangs laws are still to weak. Dozen of suspected member of
the United Blood Nation gangs are accused of murder and other crimes in a sweeping
federal indictment in Charlotte alone. Gangs members are putting hits out on members of
law enforcement
8.) This is the conclusion of my presentation at this time feel free to ask me any question you
may how
