Lesson Plan: Infographics

Objective: Students will create an infographic distinguishing the phases of matter.

Class: Integrated Physical Science (IPS)
Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS):
5-PS1-3. Make observations and measurements to identify materials based
on their properties.

Teacher instructions:
1. Teacher will pass out the instructions and rubric.
2. Teacher will discuss with the class what the assignment is and how it will be
graded.
3. Teacher will pass out the example of a completed infographic.
4. Students will have time to work independently on the project until a predetermined conclusion date.
5. After all materials have been turned in, provide an opportunity for students to
share their work to the entire class and obtain feedback.
