Reflection Paper

After experiencing, the almost 4 months of a rollercoaster ride like NSTP, I have realized some
things. Cooperation is vital in a group work but it should be accompanied with enthusiasm and
the willingness to do the tasks which is assigned to you. The purpose of that is to achieve the set
goals by enjoying what youve done and at the very least it would be meaningful to you.
During the first month, I was like Dali lng na. Mananum lang man kag mag daycare. Kaya ah.
But then I realized it hard when you dont have the unity in your group and when the area itself
is complicated to start with. We thought it was just simply planting seeds and to organize a
forum but it end up not what we thought to be. Everything was like a routine and it became
boring. Then there was a time a problem about our leader aroused. He sometimes forgets his duty
as a leader and it causes us to have setbacks and our plans are always disrupted. He would forget
to disseminate information and about the agendas of our group. He would forget to delegate the
tasks and when we have little time before that activity, he would rush us and pressure us to cram
the tasks that should have been done beforehand. He never called for a meeting to talk about our
plans and we would just meet during Wednesday.
Another obstacle that we have faced during NSTP was unwelcoming Brgy. Officials. They
seemed to uninterested and unwilling to let us help them. They would sometimes ask us why our
plants do not grow and we are so tempted to talk back or to tell them that, in the first place, it
was their garden or their soil that was in a very bad shape.
But amidst of all the challenges we have faced, I could say that I actually enjoyed the
experienced because of the relief that children during the daycare activity we conducted. The
laughter and joy that we have brought to the children was worth it. Besides the fact that the
process to organize that day care was very tiring, in the end we enjoyed the activity itself. I am
also thankful to this NSTP experience because our group members became close than before. We
also enjoyed the fried chicken there. (HAHAHAHA)
Our NSTP experience was indeed like a rollercoaster ride, ups and downs , yet in the end it was
fun. All the jokes during pulling out weeds on our little garden, our karaoke moments after
NSTP, sideline trips on the shakes stand. Indeed NSTP is an experience that shouldnt be missed
by anybody .
