EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL 561 Canal Street, Placerville, California 95667 Phone (530) 622-3634 + Fax (530) 622-1802 Mr. Chas Prior, Principal SY Hy April 15", 2016 ¥ To Whom It May Concern: It is a pleasure to compose this letter on behalf of Joseph “Joe” Lucier. As Joe’s English teacher for both his sophomore and junior years, I had the opportunity to see first-hand the ways in which Joe matured and began taking responsibility for his future. Joe is a great writer and communicator, He is able to speak fluidly with both his peers and adults seamlessly. This is a skill that many high school aged students have not mastered. Joe’s ability to communicate and the leadership skills that he honed as a member of the football team will serve him well as he pursues his future career goals. At this time, it is Joe’s goal to attend Sierra College where he would like to study fire science with the hopes of becoming either an EMT or firefighter. In order to prepare for this career, Joe has participated in the ROP fire program offered through the El Dorado Union High School District where he received his first responder certificate and became CPR certified. As Thave known Joe Lucier for approximately three years, I believe that I can speak candidly about his attributes. When I first met Joe, he was not exactly what I would call an academic all- star; however, he always had the potential to be one. As I watched him grow and mature, he realized the importance of his education and began to improve in both his work and study habits. Joe is a great young man who always has a smile for everyone and I firmly believe that he will find success wherever he goes because he now realizes the importance of working hard for everything that he has.
