To Whom It May Concern:
It is a pleasure to compose this letter on behalf of Joseph “Joe” Lucier. As Joe’s English teacher
for both his sophomore and junior years, I had the opportunity to see first-hand the ways in
which Joe matured and began taking responsibility for his future. Joe is a great writer and
communicator, He is able to speak fluidly with both his peers and adults seamlessly. This is a
skill that many high school aged students have not mastered.
Joe’s ability to communicate and the leadership skills that he honed as a member of the football
team will serve him well as he pursues his future career goals. At this time, it is Joe’s goal to
attend Sierra College where he would like to study fire science with the hopes of becoming either
an EMT or firefighter. In order to prepare for this career, Joe has participated in the ROP fire
program offered through the El Dorado Union High School District where he received his first
responder certificate and became CPR certified.
As Thave known Joe Lucier for approximately three years, I believe that I can speak candidly
about his attributes. When I first met Joe, he was not exactly what I would call an academic all-
star; however, he always had the potential to be one. As I watched him grow and mature, he
realized the importance of his education and began to improve in both his work and study habits.
Joe is a great young man who always has a smile for everyone and I firmly believe that he will
find success wherever he goes because he now realizes the importance of working hard for
everything that he has. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at

‘To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that | write this letter of recommendation for Joseph Lucier. I have
Known Joe since last year as he was one of my attendance office assistants at El Dorado High
School, Placerville, CA.
Joc is a simply outstanding student and individual. He has maintained his school work while,
Putting himself through ROP fire as well as participating in the school’s jazz band, and
Proceeding to push himself to be involved within the athletics department. He has played football
for six consecutive years and Track and Field for one year. Joe has a fantastic sense of
sportsmanship and always wants to do his best. Joe is a humorous, strong willed and inventive
student.
My first opportunity to know Joe was last year, his junior year when he was my L.A, He worked
diligently and was always thoughtful to others when helping out. He continues to keep a positive
work environment. Joe has a strong moral compass and knows that he wants to become someone
successful. It is clear to see through the work that Joe has done for me, he will accomplish great
things. Joe has excelled not only as my T-A. but in sports. He won a gold medal for sections in
discus for Track and Field. Knowing his end goal was centered around firefighting or being a
paramedic, he has become certified as a first responder as well as CPR certified. Joe has gone
above and beyond to pursue his goals.
Joe’s work ethic is phenomenal. He is always willing to do anything and everything to help me.
He never gives anything but one hundred percent. Joe’s work ethic and compassion has helped
him maintain jobs. He was a busser at Sequoia, working sixteen hours a week, as well as being a
busser at Cascada, working sixteen to twenty hours a week. Working and continuing his
academic success while participating in sports shows Joe's ability to multitask within his life,
Joe is an impeccable young man who I have had the pleasure of knowing, His sense of
compassion, integrity, intelligence, kindness, and citizenship are purely exceptional. It is that I
write this letter for Joseph Lucier with pride,
