Forgetting

Society has broken.

Civilization has forsaken me, enslaved me.
I am forced to conform to the whims of my peers, to work for a corrupt superior.
But all is not lost.
I seldom find solace in a tiny wooded area.
When I am among the foliage, I can forget about stress and strife.
I can forget about everything,
Forgetting about myself.
As I forget, I begin to lose consciousness,
Disappearing from the known without knowing it.
Before I could recognize what had happened I had disappeared completely,
Only to find myself somewhere new,
It was beautiful, scary, and right simultaneously.
I didnt even think to search for civilization.
I didnt need to.
I didnt need to do anything!
