Lesson Topic: Prezi Presentations
Duration of Lesson: 15
Number of Learners: 2
Description of Learners: Parents
Instructional Objective: Must use a verb that aligns with Blooms Revised Taxonomy and has
at least two parts, learning and behavior.
By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the benefits of using the Prezzi
presentation tool and create their own presentations using Prezzi.

Anticipatory Set: Describe how you will engage students and connect to their background
knowledge. (1-2 mins)

Asking the students what death by powerpoint means to them, I will steer the
conversation to many of the standard experiences and grievances people have with
Powerpoint presentations. I will create a t-chart to visually display the pros/cons
discussed.
Teaching: Describe how the strategy/concept/skill will be introduced/modeled. (1-3 mins)

I will show them a sample Prezzi presentation and ask for their feedback, inquiring
whether or not this presentation style addresses some negative aspects of conventional
slideshow technology.

Active Involvement: Describe what students will do in a short practice session to demonstrate
understanding. (5-8 mins)

Students will then sit and run through the Prezzi tutorial, understanding the simple and
convenient procedures to developing their own presentations using Prezzi. Afterwards,
the teacher will monitor the students as the attempt to reproduce the steps necessary to
creating a presentation using Prezzi.

Closure: Describe how you will provide an opportunity for students to share work, ideas,
review, etc. (1-2 mins)

Reviewing the features available to Prezzi that go beyond conventional presentations, I

will ask them to compare the level of difficulty of creating presentations using Prezzi
instead of Powerpoint. Students will also share whether or not they consider this
