Objective: Looking to work as Sheriff of Monroe County with a committed team utilizing
Law Enforcement excellence, providing a peaceful community with the
implementation of hands on leadership and modern Law Enforcement Strategies.
Work experience: 1986-1994 Became employed by the Sweetwater Police Department.
I became a patrolman and was and have been a certified officer since
October 30th 1987.While employed there I worked my way up through the
ranks and became Sergeant and then Captain of patrol. My duties were to
supervise and train other patrolmen in all areas related to patrol and some
investigative techniques. I was also assigned to the 10 th Judicial Drug Task
Force in 1989 and worked as an under cover officer purchasing crack
cocaine and received a commendation for that work on October 1989 by
the Director Chip Bryant. I also continued patrol duties and worked under
cover when needed throughout the state of Tennessee. I was also assigned
to Investigations as needed while I worked at that department. Duties also
included conducting foot patrols in needed areas..
Work experience : 1994-1998 Monroe County Sheriff Department.I worked at the Monroe
County Sheriff Department as Captain over Investigations including
narcotics.Job included supervising and working investigations in all areas
off Law Enforcement.This included investigating and prosecuting cases
on Local,State,and Federal levels.I also conducted the first drug round up
involving 99% of the cases being video taped.I was also in charge of
having meetings with other Law Enforcement in the area to help combat
burglary and thefts throughout the county.Duties also included case
management and working with the District Attorneys office making sure
all cases that were prosecuted had completed files.I also continued to
attended many investigation and supervising schools.
Work experience : 1998-2004 Athens Police Department Detectives.I left the Monroe County
Sheriff Office to Athens Police because of better pay.I was assigned to
investigations and narcotics.Duties included training,investigating and
prosecution of cases.I also worked many white collar crimes while at
the department and also conducted search warrants on child pornography
and prosecuted some of the cases on the federal level. While working at
the Athens PD I also went and graduated from the first National Forensic
Academy in Knoxville TN.I also assisted the FBI on the (White Spider)
investigation. I also taught in the Citizen Police Academy.

Work experience : 2004-Present Loudon County Sheriff Department. Lieutenant of

Investigations. I am currently supervisor over investigations. My job here
at Loudon County Sheriffs Office includes supervising other detectives
involving all types of crimes in Loudon County. Those cases include
Homicide,theft, white collar, and other crimes including child abuse.
I have supervised and prosecuted several Homicide cases while at the
department.The CID unit is responsible for any and all reports that come
into the department except for traffic incidents. While at this department
I also help to implement the County's first Sheriffs Citizen Academy and it
currently conducts two or more classes a year with the average of 50
citizens per class. My division is also responsible for jail investigations.I
also implemented an Investigator to be assigned to all Arson and
suspecious fires.I also have an investigator assigned to ICAC.

I have maintained all my training throughout the years.I may have left some of
Training out but some certificates gets misplaced and I will not mention anything that I cannot
back up. I have never been suspended or received any written reprimand in 30 years of service.

If elected Sheriff on Monroe County I will also get involved with

Sheriff of Monroe County needs to be hands on and needs to be available for
the public and also his men.A Sheriff's men should look at his career and
strive to work just as hard and be just as successful .A Sheriff's position should
always be taken seriously and its leader must be able to make hard decisions
fast no matter what the political fall out may be.When making your choice
please don't fall for smoke screens of cookouts and someone hiring a large
amount of part time and reserve officers for political gain only.I have seen a few
walking around off duty with gun showing to get attention.Thats not what an
officer is hired for.There will be no (Pay To Play) going on if elected.. I
posted this resume for anyone that doesnt know my career.It is been long over
due for this county to have a complete free and non bias Sheriff.One that has
worked hard for every position that he has gotten in the past 30 years.The
world we live in now is a different world from just 10 years ago.We must be
vigilant in protecting our community as it has already been shown that no
community is without violence of some kind.Ask youself if something goes
down in your community,Who do you want to be there making the decisions?
Think of a situation gone very bad and pretend that no politics or money is
involved in an election and think who would you have to pull up and
take charge of the situation. Also just wouldn't it be nice to have the same kind
of treatment no matter what your last name is, where you live,how much money
you have,what you drive,who you are married to or where you worship?
Now you are going to hear that everybody is treated the same but we all know
better.
