POLICE REPORT
After the burial of Basil Hallward, I felt a little curious as to the
wounds imprinted on this neck. So I had a mortician analyze the wounds
and it appears to have been penetration by blade. So I went and did some
research on this Mr. Hallward and what I found on him is that he is a
certified painter and a good one. He actually got quite the recognition for
his painting of this Dorian Gray Portrait.
So I did a little bit of research on this Dorian Gray character and
what I could find was that he was rich and very narcissistic with his
looks and youth. There wasnt a whole lot I could work with, but I was
curious as to what was used to stab Mr. Hallward in the first place. I
investigated the attic in which he was killed and it so happens that I find
a knife in his hand.
But something wasnt right, according to witnesses he was very
content with his well-being as well as being overly obsessed with this
Dorian Gray, he wasnt facing any critical issues in life or depression
that would lead to him to do this to himself. It had to have been murder
so I take the knife down to the forensic lab and studied the finger prints
and it so happens that I do find two different fingerprints of two people.
I had no one else to try first so I tried to compare them to Mr.
Dorian Gray and it so happens that its a match. When I realized who the
killer was, I went and issued a warrant for his arrest until when I got
there, Mr. Gray lie dead on his attic floor. It would appear that he had
stabbed himself in the middle of his chest where his heart would be. So
what we have here is a solved murder and no prosecution and a suicide.
