Abstract
The airport is a facility where the aircrafts takeoff and
landing take place. For each plane, a technical specifications and
capabilities are different in terms of the use of some airside in
runway and exit taxiway. During the aircraft landing and takeoff
on the runway, each aircraft has its own velocity when it
approaches towards the exit taxiway. The position of the exit
taxiway is very influential in the movement of aircraft so that
each aircraft must choose the right position to get out quickly
from the runway. In addition, the effect of the wind speed has to
be considered carefully during the movement of aircraft on the
runway especially during landing.
This final project evaluated the geometric design of the
air side which had been compared between the results of the
theoretical analysis using standard ICAO Annex 14 on
Aerodrome Design and Operations and FAA with the existing
field (actual) to conduct a survey at the airport (ATC). The
analysis showed that the Juanda International airport classified
4E class orientation is the same as the existing runway which
RW10 and RW28 with usability factor is 99.78%. The required
runway length is 4154m and width of the runway is more than
45m.Dimensions of the width for taxiways and shoulders are
sufficient to accommodate the movement of aircraft with a total

ix

width of 44m. Currently the position of exit taxiway has

additional landing time by aircraft ROT which varies from
terminal 1, A320 = 4.7 seconds; ATR72 = 9.2 seconds; B737 =
13.1 seconds; B733 = 3.1 seconds; B739 = 12.7 seconds; B738 =
17.1 seconds; B744 = 26.3 seconds; to terminal2, A320 = 8.2
seconds; CRJX = 15.1 seconds; B738 = 10,1detik; ATR72 = 18.4
seconds.
Keywords: geometry runway, exit taxiway, crosswind, runway
