SUMMARY:
-WHAT YOU DID?
-WHAT INJURIES DID YOU OBSERVE?
-HOW WAS THE INJURY HANDLED?
-WERE THERE ANY SITUATIONS IN WHICH YOU THINK AN
INJURY COULD HAVE OCCURRED? WHY?
On Wednesday May 2, I worked the JV boys baseball game. Before leaving for the Loyola I
prepped the water bottles and med kit, then transported them to the bus. Once at Loyola I
took the supplies off the bus and I unloaded the supplies and carried them to the dugout. The
game, started around 3:30. During the game I passed out waters to the players, making sure
they were all hydrated. There were no big injuries that happened during the game, although the
main pitcher was missing his contacts. Although baseball is a non contact sport there were
hundreds of situations where a injury could have occurred. One of the situations that I saw was
the pitcher through the ball and the other play hit it back to him almost hitting him in the head,
luckily he the pitcher dodged the ball and all was good. If he hadn't dodged the ball we could
have been looking at a possible head injury or concussion. After the game I helped players ice
their injuries.
