Un paseo para recordar

The story begins with a boy, Landon, who has behavioral problems, many of
them created by the social pressure of friend group to which it belongs.
Landon is the popular and cocky kid in school. Jamies father is a reverend
of village, which is battered and called righteous and bored.
Because of an incident with one of his classmates, Landon began to be
frowned upon, especially by the Rev. Hegbert, amies father. Blame Landon
mortifies and ends with a punishment: being part of a school play. Seeing
that he had trouble playing the lead role of the play, asks for help from
Jamie, who also has the leading role in the work and, at first, was not
convinced of help. He agreed to do so with a rare condition that Landon
promised never fall in love; a proposal Landon found difficult to accept.
The work day arrives, and the inner and outer beauty of Jamie shown in its
splendor and Landon impulsively kisses no matter that the audience was
watching. There they realize that they want but frowned upon by friends of
Landon and Jamie's father. It is in that outlet where Landon declares his love
to Jamie saying he loves her, while she reminds him of the promise he made
that promise was that he would never fall in love with her, but she accepts it
and end up being together.
Finally, Jamie Landon reveals who has leukemia and he has little time to live. This is
responsible for fulfilling all the wishes of Jamie, described by her time before, such as
dancing at dawn, see a meteor shower, and most importantly, get married in the church
where his father and mother did. Jamie died shortly after, and Landon discovers his true
vocation, medicine.
