Deficiency notice for the post of Assistant Professor, Physics in Higher Education
Department.

Dated: 24 .11.2015

Whereas, the Higher Education Department vide communication No.

Edu/Coll/apptt./A.P/2014 dated 19.05.2014, had referred 62 posts of Assistant Professors in
the discipline of Physics to the J&K Public Service Commission for being filled up through direct
recruitment from amongst the eligible/suitable candidates in terms of SRO-124 dated
21.04.2014; and
whereas, the J&K Public Service Commission, vide Notification No. 12-PSC(DR-P)
of 2014 dated 29.5.2014 invited applications on prescribed format from the permanent
residents of Jammu & Kashmir possessing the prescribed qualification. In the said notification it
was inter alia mentioned at Note-2 that the candidates who have already applied in response to
Notification No. 09-PSC(DR-P) of 2013 dated 23.05.2013 for the above mentioned post(s) need
not apply subject to the fulfillment of eligibility requirement as laid down in SRO-124 dated
21.04.2014, and
whereas, in response to the above said Notifications, the Commission received
106 application forms; and
whereas, the number of applicants is less than the number of candidates to be
shortlisted for interview in terms of Rule 40-ii (b) of J&K Public Service Commission (Business &
Procedure Rules) 1980, therefore, all the candidates who have applied for the said post except
those who are in-eligible are to be called for interview; and
whereas, these applications were scrutinized and certain deficiencies have been
noticed in respect of below mentioned candidates as indicated against each:-
