Make sure the circle is centered. 4. Using a decorative stitch of your choosing, stitch around the edge of the circle to attach it to the background. Making the Pieced Blocks 1. Using the quilt picture as a guide, sew the long sides of two rectangles to form a 9 1/2” x 9 1/2” square. Press, Assembling the Quilt 1. Using the quitt picture as a guide, plece the diagonal rows together. 2. After the rows are pieced, press the seams of every other row in the opposite direction. Sew the rows together to make the quilt canter. Press. 3, The edges of the quilt will need to be trimmed to 1/4" above the corner of the circle block. 4, Sew the 4 1/4" x 52 1/2" trips to the long sides of the center. Press. 5. Sew the 4 1/4" x 47” strips to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press. 1. Cut the background fabric into 2- 1 1/2 yard pieces. Sew the two backing pieces together and press the seam allowances open, 2. Layer the backing, batting, and quilt top, and quilt by hand or machine, as desired. 8. Sew the binding strips together to form one long strip. Fold the binding in half lengthwise, with wrong sides together, and press. Sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt.
