I am writing you to express my interest as a summer public relations intern at DeVries Global. I
learned about your company and the internship position through Bullhornreach.com.
I am a sophomore at the University of Maryland, College Park majoring in communication with
a concentration in public relations. While I have a comprehensive understanding of public
relations, my emphasis is on brand development and campaign design. Through my research, I
feel that DeVries places prominence in similar areas. Additionally, it would be a privilege to
work with a firm that has a variety of clients from fitness brand companies like New Balance to
cosmetic care manufacturers like Benefit.
Aside from my qualifications, I am confident that I will bring much more to DeVries. For
instance, my former jobs have taught me how to effectively work in groups and patiently deal
with individuals of various personalities. Additionally, this June I will be interning at Tournesol
Wellness in New York City where I will develop marketing campaigns for the company.
The college courses that I have taken so far provide me with a solid foundation for an
environment like DeVries. I am also a member of PRSSA and have actively attended on-campus
communication, public relations, and social media events. My self-motivation, enthusiastic
personality and organizational skills make me a strong candidate for such a position.
